Thermal & Visual Detection
The DJI Matrice 30T allows us to compare thermal and visual imagery while searching. Thermal imaging can help identify possible heat signatures in open areas, along tree lines, and within lighter vegetation when conditions provide sufficient temperature contrast. Dense vegetation, structures, vehicles, and other solid objects may conceal an animal from view.
Familiar Sounds & Voice Broadcast
When appropriate, the drone’s loudspeaker can broadcast the owner’s recorded voice or another familiar sound, such as a favorite squeaky toy. These sounds may encourage a hidden pet to move, reveal its location, or move toward a familiar area. Response varies by animal, and broadcasting a familiar sound does not guarantee recovery.
Every search begins with the pet’s last known location, credible sightings, terrain, and behavior. We use thermal and visual imaging, structured flight patterns, and real-time information to help narrow the search area. Conditions, terrain, vegetation, and solid objects can affect visibility, so no search can guarantee that a missing pet will be located.

Live Search Monitoring
Clients can follow the search in real time on a dedicated 27-inch monitor while the drone is in flight. Seeing the same thermal and visual imagery as the operator helps families understand the areas being searched and immediately evaluate possible sightings.
A Search Can Provide Direction Even Without a Sighting
Not locating a missing pet during a drone search does not mean the search provided no value. Examining the immediate area can help determine where the pet is less likely to be and prevent the search from remaining focused too narrowly in one location. This information can help families broaden their efforts and make more informed decisions about where to search next.
Aerial observation may also reveal useful features and activity that were not previously known, including water sources, shelter, natural travel corridors, feeding stations, community-cat colonies, predator activity, and other environmental factors. These discoveries can create new leads. In some cat searches, locating an unknown community-cat feeding area has allowed owners to follow up with nearby residents and later receive credible sightings.
When conditions and authorization allow, the drone’s loudspeaker may broadcast the owner’s recorded voice or another familiar sound. Even if the pet is outside the area being viewed, that sound may encourage it to move closer to home or toward a familiar scent route. Results vary, and no response or return can be guaranteed.
